1. General

The company Gastpro d.o.o. (hereinafter referred to as the “Merchant”) is committed to protecting the confidentiality of personal data and the privacy of users of the online store. The collected personal data will be used exclusively for the provision of the services offered by the Merchant. The Merchant respects the confidentiality of personal data and the privacy of users of the online store and will take all necessary measures to protect them from any breaches or misuse. The personal data of users is one of the areas to which the Merchant devotes exceptional care and attention, as it recognizes the sensitive nature of this field.

2. Use of Personal Data

For the purpose of providing its services, the Merchant collects, manages, processes, and stores the following user data:

  • First and last name;
  • Delivery addresses;
  • Company name or legal entity name (if the user is a legal entity);
  • Tax identification number of the legal entity (if the user is a legal entity);
  • Email address (username);
  • Password in encrypted form;
  • Contact phone number;
  • Country of residence;
  • Other data voluntarily entered by the user in the online store forms;
  • Other data voluntarily added by the user to their profile afterward.

The Merchant is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data entered by users.

3. Cookies and IP Addresses

At the beginning of each session in the online store, the Merchant assigns a cookie for user identification, tracking the shopping cart, and ensuring traceability (so-called “cookie”), which is stored in the server’s memory only for the duration of the visit and is deleted after one hour of inactivity. The Merchant may also store some persistent cookies on the user’s personal computer, such as an encrypted user identification number for recognition upon the next visit to the online store or product ratings, which help the user remember which products have already been rated. Additionally, cookies from external services such as Google Analytics may be used for website visit analysis. The Merchant may use this data in anonymized aggregate form for statistical analysis. For web security purposes, the Merchant also collects IP addresses from which users access the online store.

4. Statement on the Protection of Personal Data and User Privacy

The Merchant is committed to protecting the personal data of users of its online store in accordance with data protection regulations. Under no circumstances will the Merchant, without the user’s explicit consent, disclose personal or other user data to a third party or allow third parties to access them, except if required by state authorities, if such an obligation is provided by law, or in good faith if such action is necessary for legal proceedings, or to protect and enforce the Merchant’s legitimate interests. All personal and other data provided by users during registration in the online store or when placing an order will be protected in accordance with applicable data protection laws. The Merchant will not use this data in any way that would harm the user or any involved party. The Merchant will not use users’ data to send promotional emails or other unwanted promotional material, except for notifications that users subscribe to or explicitly agree to receive. The Merchant may use anonymized data for statistical analysis. The confidentiality of users’ personal and other data will not be violated in any way. The Merchant will provide only the necessary delivery information (recipient details and delivery address) to the shipping service (e.g., Pošta Slovenije, DHL, UPS, etc.) for order fulfillment. The Merchant may contact users via email if necessary for order processing and by phone only if issues arise during registration or order placement.

5. Implementation of the Privacy Policy

All employees, whether full-time or contracted, who have access to personal and other user data, are familiar with the duty to protect personal and other data and are obliged to adhere to these confidentiality provisions. The duty to protect personal and other data is time-unlimited, even after the termination of employment or contractual relationships with the Merchant. Registered users may cease using the online store at any time and request to cancel their registration by submitting a written request to the Merchant. Before submitting the cancellation request, the user must settle any outstanding obligations from purchases made in the online store. The Merchant will continue to protect the confidentiality of personal data and the privacy of online store users under this privacy policy, even after the registration cancellation.
